Best Movie I've seen in a long time
The acting in this movie is superb. Kidman and Patel might have done the movie of their lives. The character Patel plays has almost a sixth sense, sensing danger at such a young age and piecing together memories with Google Earth. The story will "haunt" you for days. Watch it. You won't be sorry. — Plairk
This movie really made me appreciate the things that have become normal to us everyday. The things we forget are special. Very nice put together movie from beginning to end. — Fresh17

A must see for the whole family. — Cadenf12
This was a good movie, with excellent performances. The downside is that Nicole Kidman's character is only slightly developed and the character of the husband is completely undeveloped. Still, this was an entertaining film that will make you weep. — Mr. Lucas Brice

Great performances all around and I can definitely see why Dev Patel got his Oscar nom. The fact that it was based on a true story blows my mind! Don't miss this one. — l_tar
saw this on the airplane !
I was on a plane from Taiwan to Japan and watched this movie. The movie was very good. It's based on a true story. Acting was good and story was good. I think the actor portrayed the character well...he was obsessing over finding his family. He remembered several things as a child and found them on Google Earth. Great story... — Fly Fishing for Bonefish !
Glad this movie did not pass me by. May not be for everyone, but if you like true stories no matter the drama you will like this. — JC1969
This is a love story, a love for Saroo's home, Mother and Siblings drive him home to find truth. I haven't been moved like this in a long while. I love a movie that will make you laugh and cry. This is a must see and a must own movie. Den Patel really shines in this movie. Honestly I have loved him in all the movies I have seen him in, I am a fan! — Jettquilts
the story is powerful and as a parent there is nothing more terrifying. the movie had amazing acting and an amazing soundtrack. — V_2009
I'm a therapist and work with the heavier side of reality four days a week. I'm a fan of all genres, but I admittedly go to sci-fi if I go out to see a movie. It's lighter, more fun. Well, Arrival was sold out so I reluctantly went to this. I cried. A lot. It moved me deeply and touched a place where our core longings to love and be loved resides...particularly the longings we have for our parents that's unlike any other and shapes all others. It's an exhausting journey but so worth it. You'll feel alive! — ryzakov

The most powerful film I've ever experienced!
This film is what making movies is all about... It is beyond a film. It is an experience. It captivates you in a way that stays with you and becomes a part of your heart and soul. I cannot speak enough praise and goodness about SUNNY PAWAR. Although the ENTIRE cast is superb, this little boy carried the entire film. He wasn't even an actor to begin with. The writing, the directing, the soundtrack, the acting, the cinematography....I'm speechless. I've never been this captivated by a movie. It has now become a part of me.. . — Apolang
Hands down the best movie of 2017. Based on a true story this movie will touch your heart. It is excellent — mkonstantellis
The REAL oscar winner
This was better than moonlight in my opinion. I have not wept SO hard watching a movie for a while and this was super emotionally well acted. Someone needs to give Dave Patel an award. — BeholdDLam
It is such an incredible film. We learn so much from it. The story about Saroo is amazing. I was crying 😢 during it. It is one of the best films of the year. It is so happy at the end when Saroo finds his mother at his first home. I'm glad the film got nominated for some Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards. It fills our hearts with care for family. I can't believe that 80,000 children in India go missing every year that is tragic. I'm glad that it was based on a true story. Dev Patel did a really good job playing Saroo. A must see movie! 😻 — Aly Sotelo Edwards
A Must See Movie
This movie is complex with profound themes of home and identity. The acting is excellent. The story is compelling all the way through the film. Most of all, it is heartfelt, and is so very relevant given the political climate about immigrants. It is a must see movie! 😻 — ZunieAZ
No movie you are considering watching will fill you with as much hope and joy as this true-life story. — Guitar Villain
Best movie I've seen in a long time
Great movie. Stellar acting especially by the young actor. I can't believe it is a true story Was originally dragged to see this but I'm so grateful I saw it. Like I said it's easily the best movie I've seen in a decade — meowgal
This is a beautiful movie based on true events. It not only opens you eyes and heart to the reality so many children face but also fills you with hope in mankind and what we can do to make this world a netter place by changing one life at a time. Bravo👏🏾 — Boricuadiva
One of the best, most human films I've seen in years...
This movie is an instant classic. It's the same vein of quality and style as the likes of "The Shawshank Redemption," "Slumdog Millionaire," and many more for me—a fresh, true-to-life tale of how love, empathy, and family overcome tremendous adversity and suffering. I saw it twice at the theater, and I told everyone I could about it. I hope you enjoy this picture as much as I have. Hats off and many thanks to everyone involved in the making of "Lion." Bradlii music — yrlk
This looks like a wonderful movie especially since Rooney Mara is a main character! — masonmac123
