I love Star Wars! When I saw the trailer to this movie I was so hyped! Then after watching rouge one, wow... I hated it. Boring, and horrible ending! At least the CGI of princess Lela was cool! — Berti2003

This is a Star Wars movie
If Star Wars does more war movies like this it might be the best thing to ever happen. The acting, the fighting, ALL PERFECT!! You've always wondered how the revels got the plan, well now you know, and it was by making one of the best movies of the 21st century. — Tacklejaw
Bringing back, "The back in the days of Star Wars."
This movie brings the original feel of watching the original Star Wars Series from when I was a kid. I remember watching the original Star Wars Film in my Day Care Center when I was seven years old and I got the chance to meet the man who played Hans Solo. He mentioned some things that he would mentioned in his past interview and I still remember it. He mentioned something about wearing a leather jacket around his boss. He also told me how one of the special effects were made when it to the ammo of the guns. Everything here was done like it was originally made back in the day when I was a kid. This was over thirty years ago. Peace and "MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU." — Floodone
The End tho. . .
It was better than I expected. Still liked The Force Awakens better but it was pretty good. The acting was really good. Cassian was hot. Slow at sometimes, heart-stopping action and thrill at others. Then there was the end. No spoilers, it was predicted by everyone. Everyone except me. When Cassian and Jyn were hugging on the beach I was like, "Oh, they lived! Thank goodness! I was getting worried there. BUt now they are hugging nicely on a romantic beach. Cassian, this is you're cue to kiss Jyn--" Then. . . KABOOM!!! "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" — AllTheLadiesLuvLeo
It's pretty litty
Personally, I love Rogue One and think that it is a great addition to the Star Wars universe. I do feel that the plot was a little thin, and disliked the CG attempt on Princess Leia. In the end though I loved the way it tied into the other movies and I really enjoyed all the action and tensity that it presents. — Silentterror411
THIS SUCKED!!! darth vader was wearing cloth not a suit. the story was light. they used the dark side but they skipped the force. "i am one with the force and the force is with me" gosh he says that but no force powers. they used to much CGI with princess leia. this was a bad prequil. i like star wars a lot but disney could have done better. — grummett
Oh it was awesome!
Rogue One was amazing! The actors were great (except Jiang), the soldiers, the pilots, and Darth Vader! It was fantastic! My absolute favorite part was Darth Vader! I've been wanting this forever! A must see! Would've been better with a male lead though. Also I wish it was title ''Star Wars: Rogue One A Star Wars Story", so that it will be with in the Star Wars category on iTunes. — Movie Master96
I was born in 1971 - I grew up on the original trilogy
Rogue One may be my favorite Star Wars movie of them all. It's that good. Grittier, more "adult", excellent characters who you immediately get attached to & a brilliant story that leads perfectly into a new hope. Look nothing will ever replace the lore, the magic or the feelings the original trilogy gave me and so many others, they are still special movies. However I think Rogue One is overall a better film. Now I just wish Gareth Edwards, John Knoll and crew would remake the prequels. If you're a Star Wars fan (Sci-fi fan, good movie fan) and haven't seen Rogue One yet. Shame on you. Stop reading this and go buy it now (yes buy you'll watch it a lot) — Angry LLama
I am 10 yrs old and a big fan of star wars and you know that because I am writing a humongous paragraph about it this movie is as lit as Jake Paul's song Its Everyday Bro you should buy it — Dominic_Plays
Not as good as I had wanted it to be
The graphics and all that are top notch. The story for me was... just bland. I didn't get into the story of any character in the film. The girl is ok, but I soon lost interest in her plights. There were the two buddies who were force worshipers, but beyond some mumbling I didn't really get invested in anything they did. The guy with the robot legs was the same. Then the attack at the end - why would they follow the girl? She is just some criminal who came along. Sneak in, lower the ramp, and start shooting... ? These are experienced rebel warriors?? I just kept shaking my head. Maybe I tried to think about it too much, but it just didn't work for me. I bought it at the store after watching it in the theater but have yet to take it out of its plastic. For me it wasn't any better than those three prequels that were all pretty bad. — Orion3903
Another bad Star Wars prequel
This just goes to show that the critics have no credibility and the "fans" will never admit when the movies are BAD. This entire movie is a "whole lotta nothing" characters fly to nine different planets. NINE. And only on the Ninth planet is there really a story; in hindsight the first hour or hour and half of the movie really have no bearing on the overall "story". Wasted potential — abramsdidbetterthanlucas
Knocked it out of the park!
I wish every Star Wars movie was this good. Near perfection! — magna199

Not that great.
Sure Vader had a really epic scene, but the rest of the movie lacked originality. — Michelle2912
It's About Time
For almost 40 years, we've been asking why the Death Star was so easily destroyed. The mighty Empire's weapon of mass destruction is blown up by a teenager's single torpedo shot? Really? Well, now we know. And, we a have yet another band of Rebel fighters to love and cheer for. Star Wars fan or not, cinematic storytelling doesn't get better than this. PARENTS: Although the battle scenes look kind of 'Apocalypse Now', this film is okay for your child to see. Their video games are probably far more violent than the battle scenes. — JediMom1313
Rogue one amazing movie
I love Rogue one I grew upwatching all star war movie 🎥 and this is one of favorite thank you — Wadecurtis1

Disney has destroyed Lucas' work of art. They should stick to children's G rated animations. — SciFi Hero
This was a very very very good movie. I enjoyed it way better than The Force Awakens. It was pretty dark and darker than all the other SW movies. Probably darker than Revenge Of The Sith. Obviously not the best SW movie (mine is Return Of The Jedi) but still. It's worth the money 👌👌👌 — Dj Kingsbury
A solid and entertaining first standalone film...
I thought this movie was good. Not great, good. While there are many aspects of the film I loved, it is not without its flaws, not the least of which was the messy first few acts and the poor characterization of the lead characters. The various acts of the film felt as if they were messily cobbled together, probably a result of the much-publicized reshoots. The acting was fine for the most part. The visual effects were great, even if at times you felt like you were watching a video game, especially during the space battle towards the end. As with TFA, this film has its share of easter eggs and cameos, though a handful in particular are rather distracting and take you out of the film. Don't get me wrong, I very much enjoyed the film. It is by far the best Star Wars prequel. The story is breathlessly paced and gripping, and there are quite a few spectacular action sequences, particularly a scene towards the end involving a hallway full of rebel soldiers and a certain Sith lord. The way the film seamlessly merges into the beginning of ANH is brilliant. While I personally didn't like the film as much as TFA, it was a highly entertaining and solid first standalone film in the Star Wars saga. I have high hopes for the future of this franchise. — realjohnlong
Shallow characters, an unimaginative plot, and writing so formulaic as to resemble Mad Libs combine to make this one of the dullest exercises in profit Hollywood has yet to foist upon the universe. — sadsadstory
Rogue One: Made me love Star Wars again
My brother and I were massively disappointed by “The Force Awakens” that we were reluctant to watch Rogue One. Due to a lack of nothing better to watch, we ended up renting Rogue One and loved it. Personally, I appreciate how “grown up” it felt. Like someone mature, who understood and loved the content, wrote the script. I liked that there was a weight or gravity to the subject material that made it feel substantial. The characters felt legit and fleshed out. This is a night and day difference compared to The Force Awakens which I think is garbage. That is not to say Rogue One didn’t have some awkwardness to it… but it pales in comparison to the movie as a whole. — AMJ33
Start to finish I loved this film. Probably on the same level as a Nolan film. The only thing hollywood needs to do better at is casting villains... they usually cast the biggest fruit cakes for these roles (Jupiter Ascending for another one). But overall I really enjoyed this film and I look forward to more!! — ACESsiggy
This movie was easily one of the greatest installments in the Star Wars Universe. It fits extremely well with the continuity. A little depressing though. — OverlordUnicron

One of the best Star Wars movies and fixes Episode 4s biggest plot hole
Great characters, exciting action, and great setting. My favorite characters in the movie was Cassian Andor. And the battle on scarif was the best part of the movie. And that ending with Darth Vader was incredible. Vader did just what we always wanted him to do. Also the way they fixed the plot hole with the exhaust port fixes so many things. I got this movie on Digital HD and watched it many times. You should buy this movie it is great — Front Line Master
It was ok.
Not worth what I paid for. I regret making this purchase based on someones word. I started googling why I was so bored during watching. Usually movies are captivating right? — tacosauce321
Boring and getting old
This latest chapter in the Star Wars series is boring. Totally predictable. The same old special effects, the same old story lines, the same old everything. Feels like a vain effort to extract more money and time from Star Wars fans. The story is getting old and the writers have run out of ideas. Ditto for the cinematography. The acting and the costumes are the worst of any movie in the series. It's time to put the series to bed. Don't waste your time watching this. If you are having a Star Wars craving, watch one of the old movies. At least they have some charm and some humor. — fiercelyindependent
Star Wars as it should be
Brilliant balance of making the whole premise more gritty, while keeping faith with the essence of Star Wars. And great to get a lot of answers regarding the Build up to Episode IV. Always a pleasure to kick back & re-watch. — frustrated26
Maybe it is just me, but I for one, hoped for a slightly less dark movie. Everything in this movie is good, but everyone in this movie die. I did not like that. — Reviewmasta1
Rogue One realizes a truly magic moment in cinema history. Already for these couple of seconds the movie deserves 5*'s. The rest of the time is yet a great and entertaining experience as well. — Lucky Spacetramp
Worst star wars ever
It was just one of those filler movies I wasted my money — Dowdlecl
Nothing new and really boring.
I'm a fan of the retro StarWars but this new stuff is lacking in both creativity and overall BAM! I started to fall asleep thirty minutes into it since there was nothing to keep me wide eyed. — Route66
Good, but surprised at mistakes
SPOILER AlERT: Don't read on if you haven't seen the movie. I enjoyed this movie and was aware that people would die, but didn't realize everyone would die in this movie. lol No one was safe. It made me realize how cookie cutter I am with how a movie ends. It was a little unnerving to see people you're rooting for die, but that doesn't mean it was a bad choice. Here's what irked me about this movie: Some of the acting, wardrobe and special effects. I felt like some of the actors were just reading lines instead of actually being the characters. Ben Daniels is an outstanding actor, but in this movie he seemed out of place and wasn't his best work. The wardrobe department did a horrible job. Some how they made darth vader's outfit looked like it got purchased from Party City. Princess Leia's outfit was bad as well. Some of the special effects were amazing, while some looked like it came from a B movie from the 80's. All the complaints I listed are what stopped me from giving 5 stars to Rogue One. — stephtruegirl
Good Story...What I Expected
Good plot creating a backstory to the beginnings of the rebellion and the death star plans. The dialog and acting got a little hockey and over the top, but that's Star Wars. Standout performance by the robot (didn't catch his name). I never cared about R2D2 and CP3O, but this robot was a perfect comedic addition. Also, seeing Vader really go to work on the rebels near the end was spectacular. We finally see why he's so feared. Overall, a nice effort that entertained and enriched the Star Wars saga. — josta555
oof. zzzzzz Star Wars in the tropics. it's gritty, just not in a way anyone cares about. — tminos
I can say this movie it's one of the best movies out there!!! I can watch this movie all over again and all over again.... 😍😍 my number one favorite movie for now on — MCHLOBANDO96
Best Star Wars Ever
Gareth Edwards is genius. He should redo every Stars and all the new ones with the same writing team. His nuance with each scene, every actor is intuitive. Casting could be tweaked. Felicity was pretty riveting.. Diego was good, but the accent bugged after awhile, Jimmy Smits? - What is this LA law? Otherwise crack on! — hemispheres8
I have seen them all...only minor slight was a weaK character representation of Darth Vadar. The final rebel assault on the empire installation was a CLASSIC!!! — Colbreeze
Best Star Wars Movie Ever!!!!!
I am 13 and a huge Star Wars fan. I have watched almost all of the movies and I have to say that this one is my favorite! The story is very good and easy to follow. The actors did so good on their parts. It is not too violent which is good. I almost cried at the end of it because it was sad that they died but yeah absolutely an amazing movie!! — Rabbitfunnybunny
Doesn't deserve 1 star. Deserves 0
This was a terrible movie. My wife and I wanted to walk out but we were with a group of people in the theater. Rogue One has no plot, the story is ridiculous, the characters are 1 dimensional. The only redeeming charatcter was the droid, then he died. He was sadly the only character worth carring about. How can a movie be so full of action and yet be so absolutely boring? Want to find out? Watch this film... on second though, don't. You will be wasting hours of your life. — jsimenstad
Not up to standards
Look, this and any star wars film has a lot riding in it, but it should. This film looks like a video with an "old filter" on it, not a film. The story is a mess, and the characters and their motivation is a mess. Some characters seem like they were major but cut down, others seem stretched way too far. There needed to be way more here especially when we know how it ends. A rental at best. — the_fish_
Star Wars: Where are they now?
At this point, if you've seen one Star Wars you've seen them all. Maybe Steven Spielberg should take a shot at it. — Adderall Diaries
Best Star Wars yet
It is even better than empire — 172828818191929
Tedious and predictable. Poor character development. Much of the acting seemed as if the cast was trying to overcome a bad plot. There were some very good battle scenes and the effects were great, but that wasn't enough to salvage it. Rent it, or just borrow it from a friend who had the misfortune of buying it. It's the worst of all the Star Wars movies. — Ugotta_B_Kidding
I always wanted to know how they got the plans for the deathstar since i was a child when i first saw this movie in 1977 now i know great movie!!!!!! — balance of judgement
I hated this. Visuals were nice but the story and characters fell flat for me. Still love Star Wars but this was just long and drawn out and just flat out boring to me. It's sad when I kept looking to see how much more of this movie I had left to watch. — Ash31
