The worst service movie ever!! It has nothing to do with any of the other movies and there were a lot of new characters — bro-AP

GREAT
★★★★★
This is probably my all time favorite Star Wars movie. So much better than the new prequels! Not enough space to write and do it justice. — hannah81979

Wow
★★★★★
After seeing the Force Awakens I knew I was in for a treat. This movie is awesome. All the characters are lovable. k2so is the best character in the movie. Darth Vader has one of the coolest scenes in Star Wars — Lillys39

Awesome is the word!
★★★★★
I loved Rogue One, the characters didn’t have as much development as I would like, but that’s not the point. To me, that movie filled in so many gaps that we didn’t understand. This movie got some bad reviews that said it was boring, dark and they didn’t like the fact that everyone died. And I honestly am ok with those opinions, but this is how I view it: The plot it’s self is pretty simple, get the Death Star plans. This takes time throughout the movie to develop , but they get it done, plus not every Star Wars movie is going to have the good guys win all the time, this movie demonstrates how deadly the empire can be, Especially the death troopers, those guys are too good!! Now with the characters there development is pretty simple as well, Jyn Erso is a normal girl, who’s father is working for the empire on the most important military project of all time, the Death Star. Cassian Andor is a rebel pilot, solider and a low key killer. He works to help Jyn get the plans and has some good. K2So is a reprogrammed imperial droid, who has some good humor in the movie. Bohdi is a cargo pilot who defects against the empire. Baze and chirrut are the guardians of the wills who can use the force on a very low scale . Now the movie itself can have some bad moments, but it’s dark because of how bad the trouble was of getting the Death Star plans. The fact that all the characters died was really sad, but ultimately it gets the point across, that’s the plot. DARTH VADER made that entire movie, especially when he came back at the very end, showing off his lightsaber, and killing all the rebel soldiers like it’s nothing was awesome, seeing him on the big screen again since 2005 is what I was waiting for. The CGI was awesome for both Tarkin and most importantly princess liea, seriously, that is way to real looking!!! Awesome job ! Overall Rogue One remains as one of my favorite Star Wars movies of all time. Disney didn’t truly effect it like I anticipated they would and that’s awesome! I don’t need Disney content in every movie that they make from now on, it’s going to rip my nerves apart piece by piece. Overall Excellent job Gareth Edwards!! Can you direct episode 9 Please!!!???? — XX⚔️

A grand adventure
★★★★★
To start, this movie recaptures the feel and emotion that the original series does. With the help of excellent writing, acting, possibly the best casting in for a Star Wars movie to date, the movie uses these elements to create a grand adventure in the Star Wars universe that we have never seen the likes of before with out leaning on nostalgia but still using subtle reminders that this is a Star Wars movie. For example, a character that was in the new hopes original theater but cut out later for home theater copies was added into this movie as a fun Easter egg for fans, this type of fan service is used throughout the movie keeping this film fresh, adventurous, unexpected and linking it back into the originals without it feeling forced. If Disney could make every Star Wars movie this good, George Lucas will be jumping up and down with joy that someone can continue his masterpiece with confidence. — Soshabear

Awesome Stand Alone!
★★★★
After seeing the horrible disappointment that was Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I rushed home, and watched this one again. As a stand-alone star wars movie, it had all of the connective tissue it needed to have, and nothing extraneous. It was a well written story, the characters were very well done, and so were the props & sets. Good job fitting the ships, equipment, and sets to look much closer to the original '77 Star Wars. — ntg13

Just what I wanted
★★★★★
This is what I wanted to see. A movie that was not dependant on the major characters of the other movies. A stand alone movie that was connected to the story but its own movie. Now if they could make a series of movies about the book series Rouge Squadren. — Soldier 1970

As good as Empire
★★★★★
Amazing movie! This may be my favorite Star Wars movie and I was in the theater on opening day for New Hope. Great acting, gritty, and still fun. Loved it! Better than the last Jedi! — fulltilted

Lots of action. Very little plot.
★★★★★
It sure takes a long, long time to deliver so little in the way of an actual story line. — bgl_1

Very good
★★★★
Great story, great new characters, and very good effects. The best part is the tone of the film and the gritty realism emphasized by the director. Love the practical effects. Very good addition to the franchise. — Mike B (@MikeCowboys)

Why am I getting the words on the screen. Used to show at old Picture Houses? And I paid $19.99 after a year for this!!!!!! — MacJuna

Amazing and Origianl
★★★★★
This is one of the best Star Wars movies, and by far the best prequel. In my opinion it’s much more original than the Force Awakens. The characters were great, and I loved the connections to a New Hope. I also loved the deeper conflict, and the action points. The ending was beautiful, and loved how it showed the sacrifice needed just to get the plans. A must see to any Star Wars fan. — Bobonian

Is This A Prequel?
★★★★
Is this movie considered a Prequel. It does take place before the first 3 Star Wars movies it ends right before the 1st movie. Either way this movie is good. I don’t see the purpose of it but it’s good. — Lebron Kenney

Not the best but good
★★★★
The movie was great but it could have been better. The is movie is funny, action pact, and really violent at times. The only down side is the audience asking did we really need this movie. The acting was great and so was the CGI but that doesn't make it any more than a sequel or in other words a side story. It could be a little better than I expected. — hucklebaryfinn

A great parallel to Star Wars Episode 4
★★★★
There's a great Star Wars story here. It's got all the classic ups, downs, explosions and Droids classic Star Wars fans go for. I loved the way it seamlessly integrated itself into my Star Wars experience. It's very cool a girl is the hero/lead in this continuation of the Star Wars franchise. Definitely a keeper. — Free Fro

What???
★★★★★
What was the purpose of this movie???? Was this even a movie??? I love Star Wars, I grew up with Star Wars, this crap wasn't Star Wars! The last 3 movies have been getting worse and worse. People get all hipped up about the name STAR WARS and lose all objectivity. This movie sucked. There is no substance, no storyline, nothing. Really, what happened in this movie? Nothing. Pure crap. Sorry. — kalahari7

Rouge 1

I just saw this movie on Netflix today and I saw it once in theatres. I saw it twice now. But the great news, I saw every Star Wars movie in history. — Jolovesgum

Worse Star Wars movie next to Attack of the Cloned

Wow. I'm not sure what's worse, the flat acting or the phony looking CGI actors. — aced411

If Star Wars does more war movies like this it might be the best thing to ever happen. The acting, the fighting, ALL PERFECT!! You've always wondered how the revels got the plan, well now you know, and it was by making one of the best movies of the 21st century. — Tacklejaw

Bringing back, "The back in the days of Star Wars."
★★★★★
This movie brings the original feel of watching the original Star Wars Series from when I was a kid. I remember watching the original Star Wars Film in my Day Care Center when I was seven years old and I got the chance to meet the man who played Hans Solo. He mentioned some things that he would mentioned in his past interview and I still remember it. He mentioned something about wearing a leather jacket around his boss. He also told me how one of the special effects were made when it to the ammo of the guns. Everything here was done like it was originally made back in the day when I was a kid. This was over thirty years ago. Peace and "MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU." — Floodone

The End tho. . .
★★★★
It was better than I expected. Still liked The Force Awakens better but it was pretty good. The acting was really good. Cassian was hot. Slow at sometimes, heart-stopping action and thrill at others. Then there was the end. No spoilers, it was predicted by everyone. Everyone except me. When Cassian and Jyn were hugging on the beach I was like, "Oh, they lived! Thank goodness! I was getting worried there. BUt now they are hugging nicely on a romantic beach. Cassian, this is you're cue to kiss Jyn--" Then. . . KABOOM!!! "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" — AllTheLadiesLuvLeo

It's pretty litty
★★★★
Personally, I love Rogue One and think that it is a great addition to the Star Wars universe. I do feel that the plot was a little thin, and disliked the CG attempt on Princess Leia. In the end though I loved the way it tied into the other movies and I really enjoyed all the action and tensity that it presents. — Silentterror411

bad movie
★★★★
THIS SUCKED!!! darth vader was wearing cloth not a suit. the story was light. they used the dark side but they skipped the force. "i am one with the force and the force is with me" gosh he says that but no force powers. they used to much CGI with princess leia. this was a bad prequil. i like star wars a lot but disney could have done better. — grummett

I was born in 1971 - I grew up on the original trilogy
★★★★★
Rogue One may be my favorite Star Wars movie of them all. It's that good. Grittier, more "adult", excellent characters who you immediately get attached to & a brilliant story that leads perfectly into a new hope. Look nothing will ever replace the lore, the magic or the feelings the original trilogy gave me and so many others, they are still special movies. However I think Rogue One is overall a better film. Now I just wish Gareth Edwards, John Knoll and crew would remake the prequels. If you're a Star Wars fan (Sci-fi fan, good movie fan) and haven't seen Rogue One yet. Shame on you. Stop reading this and go buy it now (yes buy you'll watch it a lot) — Angry LLama

Not as good as I had wanted it to be
★★★★★
The graphics and all that are top notch. The story for me was... just bland. I didn't get into the story of any character in the film. The girl is ok, but I soon lost interest in her plights. There were the two buddies who were force worshipers, but beyond some mumbling I didn't really get invested in anything they did. The guy with the robot legs was the same. Then the attack at the end - why would they follow the girl? She is just some criminal who came along. Sneak in, lower the ramp, and start shooting... ? These are experienced rebel warriors?? I just kept shaking my head. Maybe I tried to think about it too much, but it just didn't work for me. I bought it at the store after watching it in the theater but have yet to take it out of its plastic. For me it wasn't any better than those three prequels that were all pretty bad. — Orion3903

Another bad Star Wars prequel
★★★★
This just goes to show that the critics have no credibility and the "fans" will never admit when the movies are BAD. This entire movie is a "whole lotta nothing" characters fly to nine different planets. NINE. And only on the Ninth planet is there really a story; in hindsight the first hour or hour and half of the movie really have no bearing on the overall "story". Wasted potential — abramsdidbetterthanlucas

It's About Time
★★★★★
For almost 40 years, we've been asking why the Death Star was so easily destroyed. The mighty Empire's weapon of mass destruction is blown up by a teenager's single torpedo shot? Really? Well, now we know. And, we a have yet another band of Rebel fighters to love and cheer for. Star Wars fan or not, cinematic storytelling doesn't get better than this. PARENTS: Although the battle scenes look kind of 'Apocalypse Now', this film is okay for your child to see. Their video games are probably far more violent than the battle scenes. — JediMom1313

The 💩💩💩
★★★★★
This was a very very very good movie. I enjoyed it way better than The Force Awakens. It was pretty dark and darker than all the other SW movies. Probably darker than Revenge Of The Sith. Obviously not the best SW movie (mine is Return Of The Jedi) but still. It's worth the money 👌👌👌 — Dj Kingsbury

Formulaic. Dull.
★★★★
Shallow characters, an unimaginative plot, and writing so formulaic as to resemble Mad Libs combine to make this one of the dullest exercises in profit Hollywood has yet to foist upon the universe. — sadsadstory

Rogue One: Made me love Star Wars again
★★★★★
My brother and I were massively disappointed by “The Force Awakens” that we were reluctant to watch Rogue One. Due to a lack of nothing better to watch, we ended up renting Rogue One and loved it. Personally, I appreciate how “grown up” it felt. Like someone mature, who understood and loved the content, wrote the script. I liked that there was a weight or gravity to the subject material that made it feel substantial. The characters felt legit and fleshed out. This is a night and day difference compared to The Force Awakens which I think is garbage. That is not to say Rogue One didn’t have some awkwardness to it… but it pales in comparison to the movie as a whole. — AMJ33

Excellent
★★★★★
Start to finish I loved this film. Probably on the same level as a Nolan film. The only thing hollywood needs to do better at is casting villains... they usually cast the biggest fruit cakes for these roles (Jupiter Ascending for another one). But overall I really enjoyed this film and I look forward to more!! — ACESsiggy

One of the best Star Wars movies and fixes Episode 4s biggest plot hole
★★★★★
Great characters, exciting action, and great setting. My favorite characters in the movie was Cassian Andor. And the battle on scarif was the best part of the movie. And that ending with Darth Vader was incredible. Vader did just what we always wanted him to do. Also the way they fixed the plot hole with the exhaust port fixes so many things. I got this movie on Digital HD and watched it many times. You should buy this movie it is great — Front Line Master

It was ok.

Not worth what I paid for. I regret making this purchase based on someones word. I started googling why I was so bored during watching. Usually movies are captivating right? — tacosauce321

Boring and getting old
★★★★
This latest chapter in the Star Wars series is boring. Totally predictable. The same old special effects, the same old story lines, the same old everything. Feels like a vain effort to extract more money and time from Star Wars fans. The story is getting old and the writers have run out of ideas. Ditto for the cinematography. The acting and the costumes are the worst of any movie in the series. It's time to put the series to bed. Don't waste your time watching this. If you are having a Star Wars craving, watch one of the old movies. At least they have some charm and some humor. — fiercelyindependent
